GSA MEMBERS In a recent nation-wide survey, 84% of LGBT youth reported being verbally harassed, 40% reported being physically harassed, and 18% reported being physically assaulted at school. Want to do something about it? Sign up to take part in the Day of Silence. Sign ups will take place this week before school and during lunches. See Ms. Kennedy in room 344 or Ms. McGuffin in room 213 with any questions.

Today, Abington students had an opportunity to participate in a legal panel discussion with Judge Gary Silow and members of the Montgomery County District Attorneys Office.

AJHS musical students making blankets to donate to Project Linus :)

Abington Junior High School congratulates our Destination Imagination (DI) team. The team of Tori Jawork, Grace Kirwin, Olivia Knotek and Sofiya Lysenko tied for first place at the DI state competition. The students competed in Project Outreach and collected funds for H2O. Great work!

Attention all students: If you are eligible for a Service Learning Award, forms are now being collected in the Library. Ask a Library staff member to direct you to the box where the forms are to be placed. Forms are due no later than May 1st. Please estimate your May hours, and please make a copy of your Service Learning form for your own records. See Ms. Perch or Mrs. Custer with any questions.

Congratulations to Eric Dixon for being selected to the 2nd Team and Robbie Heath to the 4th Team of the Philadelphia Inquirer's All-S.E Pa. Boys' Basketball Teams. GO GHOSTS!

Congratulations to Arielle Baril an eighth grade student at Abington Junior High School. Arielle has advanced at the New York Lyric Opera national competition. Young Opera performers competed from across the country, in six cities, in four divisions and only 24 advanced to the semifinal round in the junior division. We wish Arielle luck with the New York Lyric Opera competition and as she prepares for one of the biggest International Opera competitions of them all, the Belvedere Opera Competition which will begin May 2017. AJHS wish you well!
